How to use
- Click the big number (or press Space / ↑) to add the step.
- Press − / ↓ to subtract. R resets the focused counter.
- Click a counter to focus it for keyboard shortcuts.
- Add more counters with the + button; remove with the × on each card.
About this tool

Keep several counters going at once, each with its own name, step and optional goal — inventory lines, laps, reps, people through a door, birds at a feeder. Tap to add, tap to subtract, and reset a single counter without disturbing the others. The counts are saved in your browser as you go, so closing the tab or losing the connection does not lose the tally, and the page opens where you left it. That storage is local to this browser and this device, which is the trade: nothing is uploaded and nobody else can see your counts, but they also do not follow you to your phone. Set a goal on a counter to see the progress towards it while you work.
Frequently asked questions
Does it sync across devices?
No — saves go to this browser's local storage. To move counters to another device you'd need a sync service; this tool stays simple.
What does 'goal' do?
Setting a positive goal turns the big button green when you reach or exceed it. Useful for 'count to 50 push-ups' style targets.
Why doesn't space-bar work?
Click a counter card first to focus it — the shortcuts target the focused counter so multiple counters don't compete for the same key.
Is there an undo?
Not yet — once you reset a counter, the value is gone. The total on top is recomputed from all counters live, so be careful with Reset all.
Will I lose my counts if the page reloads?
No. Every change is written to this browser's storage as it happens, so a reload, a closed tab or a dropped connection all leave the numbers where they were. What does clear them is clearing site data, a private window that you close, or a different browser.
What is the step setting for?
Counting in units other than one. Set it to 12 to count cartons of eggs, or to 25 to count a roll of coins. The step is a whole number of at least 1, and the minus button takes off the same step.
