Why do some emojis look different on my device?

Each platform (Apple, Google, Microsoft, Samsung) renders emoji with its own font. The character is the same; the design is per-vendor.

Country flag emojis are included but some platforms (notably Windows) don't render them as flags, showing the two-letter country code instead.

How is the search matched?

Case-insensitive substring match across the emoji's name and an extra keyword list (e.g., 'rofl' finds the rolling-on-the-floor-laughing face).
